Prosecutor's son Vasil Mihaylov has been in Bulgaria for several months, bTV has learned. He tried to set fire to a policeman's house in the Pernik region.
The policeman fired a shot in the air, as well as at Mihaylov's car, bTV sources claim.
Before returning to Bulgaria, Mihaylov was in Greece. He has been wanted by the Ministry of Interior for more than 7 months. While his home authorities are looking for him, in June he uploaded a video in which he explains "about the biased investigation against him – by the Ministry of Interior and the operatives in Pernik".
Vasil Bisserov Mihaylov, known by his nickname “the prosecutor's son“, is the son of the former deputy district prosecutor of the city of Pernik, Bisserov Mihaylov. Vasil Mihaylov is a former Bulgarian national taekwondo competitor. Bronze medalist at the European Championship in Italy “Rimini 2019“ and five-time Bulgarian national champion in kickboxing and taekwondo. He is being investigated for causing medium and severe bodily harm and usury.
On April 11, 2023, in the Burgas District Court, Vasil Mihaylov pleaded guilty to committing a crime for the fact that on August 31, 2021 in the city of Sozopol, on an alley between the disco “Misteri“ and bar “Jack“, by punching P. K. G. from the city of S. in the face, intentionally caused him moderate bodily injury, expressed in a deformation of the nose with total reconstruction of the nose, which caused the victim a permanent health disorder, not life-threatening, with a recovery period of more than thirty days in the usual course of the recovery process – a crime under Art. 129, para. 2, s. para. 1 of the Criminal Code.
