The signals for election crimes are many times more than the signals of the previous parliamentary elections, held in October 2024. This was told to journalists by the Minister of Interior Emil Dechev. According to him, the difference is several hundred percent, and this shows increased trust of citizens in the new leadership of the Ministry of Interior.
He commented that some of the lists of names found also have citizens' ID cards. The Minister of Interior also said that they are working on various signals, and the schemes are very diverse. According to him, there is activity both in the Roma neighborhoods and in other areas.
"We do not have a double standard, we do not work only in certain areas. Even in hair salons, lists of names and prepared money are found. There are cases in which grocery stores allow the purchase of goods up to a certain amount," commented Dechev.
The acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Georgi Kandev presented the situation in connection with the upcoming elections on the territory of the Dobrich Regional Office of the Ministry of Interior.
"As of 9:00 a.m. this morning, 18 days before the elections, the number of signals received is 22, compared to three for the 2024 elections. The number of pre-trial proceedings initiated is 16 to 0, the number of detained persons - 1 to 0, the number of warning protocols - 47 to 0. We receive six times more signals for these elections compared to the vote in 2024," said Kandev.
He also commented that votes cost between 50 and 100 euros.
