The Ministry of Interior also reported 1,042 reports of crimes against citizens' electoral rights. The regional governors have already started receiving the election papers and ballots, and the Ministry of Interior is already carrying out its activities to protect both the premises and the papers themselves.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already announced the lists of voters, as well as the addresses of the sections where voting can be done. An interactive map is also to be created, on which every Bulgarian citizen, regardless of where they are, will be able to check which section is closest.
For the first time, a control mechanism for video surveillance has been provided. After an application has been submitted, it will be possible to conduct a surprise check by the RECs, who will monitor whether the cameras are turned on in the building in which they are supposed to work.
„The Ministry of Internal Affairs has completed its work on processing the applications and has published lists and addresses. Today it will also release a map with the addresses. They will have one representative in each section,“ explained the advisor to the acting prime minister on election issues, Vanya Nusheva.
“For the first time, a clause has been provided for checking whether the phones are transmitting a signal on time and information will be automatically provided to the REC”, she explained.
According to Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Anchev, there is a procedure for the accelerated issuance of ID cards.
