The police are looking for an escaped prisoner. The last race with the uniforms was from last night, bTV reported, quoted by novini.bg, citing its sources.
Peter Kolev was twice detected by the law enforcement authorities, but was not arrested. The man has two valid convictions - for cocaine and for threatening to kill and hooliganism.
At the end of September last year, he was released for medical reasons. However, he never returned behind bars, the Ministry of Justice announced.
The case only became clear today after bTV found out about a series of unsuccessful races with the prisoner. Both times are in the metropolitan district “Lyulin”. That night, the police managed to stop the car he was traveling in. However, Kolev got out of the car and ran away again.
Namely in “Lyulin“ he was detained during a special operation in April last year. This came after the prisoner managed to outwit the police for three years and went into hiding while being wanted, including with an Interpol red notice.
Even then it became clear that the man was dangerous and armed.
