The case against Kiril Petkov for the arrest of Boyko Borisov begins on the merits, BNT reported.
Kiril Petkov has been brought to trial for two crimes. The first is that he exceeded his rights as Prime Minister, by ordering police chiefs to launch an investigation against Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdelina Arnaudova on March 17, 2022. And then ordered all three to be arrested.
Over 30 witnesses will be questioned in the case. The prosecutor's office will request that Borisov be summoned for questioning in court, since according to other testimonies he witnessed facts and circumstances that are relevant to the case.
