The Montana Prosecutor's Office is investigating an attack on a medical professional during the performance of his duties. The incident occurred on August 4 at around 02:30. The crime was committed in the Emergency Medical Care branch in the building of the Berkovitsa Hospital.

As a result of punches, the victim has a laceration-contusion wound to the head and a hematoma in the eyebrow area.
The perpetrator of the act has been identified – a 28-year-old man. He has been detained for 72 hours. A request for a preventive measure of "detention in custody" against him is to be filed with the court. Such crimes are punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison.
