Sofia police found and seized 2.5 kg of fentanyl, 1,025 pellets of the same drug, over 123 grams of cocaine, about 300 grams of marijuana, as well as various amounts of money. Eight people were arrested, the police announced.
Five people were detained in a special operation by forensic experts from the Third Regional Police Department against drug distribution. About 2 kg of fentanyl, marijuana and crystals were found and seized.
The operation was planned in response to reports that drug addicts were gathering in the “Peter and Pavel“ park in the “Ilinden“ district and disturbing people living in the area. After conducting surveillance, law enforcement officers identified the dealers who were distributing the drugs in this part of Sofia. As part of the police actions, a house on Dr. Kalinkov Street was searched. Two men, aged 36 and 32, and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on the spot.
