The actress' sister Tammy Colbert announced that she died on June 23 at her home in Compton, California. According to the publication, the news of her death comes after she had suffered three strokes in the past decade.
Colbert was born on January 16, 1947 in Los Angeles. She worked as a model for store campaigns and as a fashion consultant before setting her sights on Hollywood.
She made her first TV appearance in 1979 as a model before starring in the film Flamingo Road which ran from 1980-1981.
She then landed roles in several television shows, including Capitol, Benson, The Fall Guy, Knots Landing, A Death in California, Sisters, and True Colors.
After all, "Dallas" became one of her most successful projects as she appeared in 67 episodes of the long-running series that ran from 1983 to 1991.
Colbert began participating in the sixth season of "Dallas" like Dora May.
