Employees from the financial directorate of the Ministry of Culture are expected to be questioned culture, involved in the payments for the so-called "theatrical affair", in which millions of BGN were siphoned from the state budget.
BGN 410,000 from the theaters in Smolyan and Razgrad are now with the investigators. 225 thousand of them were surrendered voluntarily. Yesterday, Petko Piskov, who is thought to be the mastermind of the operation, decided to explain how the software he developed works, in which the employees' data is entered. However, he refused to answer the main questions related to the draining of funds from cultural institutions.
Stuntman Atanas Georgiev, conductor Levon Manukyan, director of the Music and Philharmonic Theater in Razgrad, as well as Rumen Bechev - director of the cultural institution in Smolyan, have also been charged with the affair.
