White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced that she is expecting her second child, NOVA reported.
She is the first woman in this key position to be pregnant while in office. “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for – a baby girl due in May“, Leavitt wrote on her Instagram account.
She expressed her gratitude to President Donald Trump for his support and for promoting a “pro-family environment in the White House“.
Leavitt, 28, who is married to real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, made history as the youngest White House press secretary since being appointed in January at the start of Trump's second term. She has built a reputation as a highly effective administration spokesperson, known for her staunch defense of the president during briefings and her knack for neutralizing critical journalists.
