Elijah Wood celebrates his 45th birthday today. The American actor, who became world famous for his role as Frodo Baggins in the “Lord of the Rings“ trilogy, was born on January 28, 1981 in Cedar Rapids, USA.
In recent weeks, Wood has intensified speculation about his participation in the upcoming film “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum“, expected in 2027.
Wood joined Samara Weaving in the sequel to the hit thriller Ready or Not 2: Here I Come:, which is expected to premiere in 2026. He starred in the horror adaptation of Stephen King The Monkey (2025). He also continues to appear in the popular series Yellowjackets - in the role of Walter.
