A man fell into the waters of the Grand Canal in Venice and was pulled out dead shortly afterwards, ANSA reported.
According to investigators of the incident, it is a homeless man of about 50 years of Serbian origin. According to the reconstruction of the events, he was sitting on the banks of the Grand Canal in the area of the central station "Santa Lucia" and on the Calatrava bridge. He suddenly fell into the water.
Police arrived at the scene and stopped to pull the man out, but they only found that he was dead. It is believed he felt sick and that is why he fell into the water.
