At an official ceremony in the square “Sevtopolis“ Nedelina Nedelcheva, the 56th Queen Rose of the city, was solemnly crowned in Kazanlak, BTA reported.
Despite the rain, the event gathered hundreds of residents and guests of the city near the stage in the central square, and the mayor of the municipality, Galina Stoyanova, placed the crown.
"For 121 years, Kazanlak has been celebrating its symbol, the symbol of Bulgaria – the rose. "I am proud of the preserved traditions of my native region," said Nedelina Nedelcheva. I have the honor as Queen Rose to wish you health and unforgettable holidays, she addressed her fellow citizens. Queen Roza wished everyone, leaving the city, to keep in their heart the beauty and fragrance of the Kazanlak rose.
The solemn performance was performed by ballet school “Pas-de-cre“ from Stara Zagora, and the evening ended with a sumptuous dawn in honor of the new Queen of the city and a festive concert by the Argirovi Brothers.
The Rose Festival in Kazanlak continues until June 2, when the largest carnival procession in the country will pass along the central boulevard.
