A small rocky beach on the Slovenian coast is named one of the best in the world from Big 7 Travel, a global travel advice website, reports the "Slovenia Times" newspaper, quoted by BTA.
"Moon Bay" is located in the Strunyan nature reserve between Strunyan and Isola and can only be reached on foot.
This is an undeveloped beach without amenities at the foot of reddish cliffs that gradually pass into olive groves and vineyards.
Big 7 Travel, who ranked it 3rd in their Top 50 list, say the beach doesn't boast the tropical breeze of the Caribbean, but is "strikingly beautiful”.
"Thanks to its remote location and protected status, you are likely to have the whole place to yourself," states Big 7 Travel.
"Admire the incredible views of the Adriatic Sea on one of the several hiking trails that wind through the reserve, or simply soak up the sun”, the website says.
