A drugged-out passenger on a plane from New Jersey tried to rape a flight attendant and open the plane's door during a flight – forcing the pilots to make an emergency landing in Utah, police said, who arrested him.
Eric Nicholas Gapko, 26, of Delanco, was on American Airlines Flight 2101 from Seattle to Dallas when he became “unruly”, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Utah said. Gapko took off his shirt and started smoking vape, shouting and hitting a crew member, offering her sex, writes Telegraf, quoted by novini.bg.
The wild traveler - who later admitted to chewing 10 edible marijuana stalks before the outburst – leading to him exploding, attempting to rape the flight attendant and trying to open the plane's exterior doors "several times," according to federal officials.
When he refused to take his seat, flight attendants shackled his hands and feet with restraints, and the captain made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City, authorities said. During the flight, according to prosecutors, Gapko also tried to pass a bag of unidentified pills to another passenger.
