In December, the dean of the Faculty of Geology and Geography at Sofia University &bdquo ; St. Kliment Ohridski“ Prof. Kliment Naydenov and Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov are going on an expedition to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana, NOVA reported.
„One of our tasks will be to search for the origin of man, since it was in black Africa that our distant ancestors appeared from the monkey. It's not the first time I've been to the places where the earliest human-like creatures were born. "My first big trip was back in 2014 in Tanzania, on the territory of which the oldest remains of human ancestors who lived millions of years ago were discovered," says Prof. Ovcharov.
