With a glamorous ceremony, Kazanlak chose its 57th “Queen Rose“, NOVA reported.
This is Maria Shamburova, who is graduating from the Mathematical High School in the city. The competition is the oldest in Bulgaria.
“I admit that it was my dream, very, very deep down I wanted it, but I just didn't expect it, and it really makes me happy. This is a huge honor that I will carry with enormous responsibility. The burden is truly enormous, I believe that I will cope with the task of representing Kazanlak, both nationally and internationally, and I think this is the sweetest award I have ever received“, said the winner Maria Shamburova.
This year, there were 33 contenders for the royal crown girls. The culmination of the celebration will be on June 8, when the largest street festival in the country will take place. Over 5 thousand participants will participate in it.
By tradition, “Queen Rose“ becomes the ambassador of the Valley of Roses around the world.
