Two drunk Englishmen drown in hotel pool in Portugal after night-time entry

A tragedy shook the tourist area of Albufeira in Portugal early on Tuesday, where two young British tourists died after diving into their hotel pool at night, reported Proto Thema, quoted by FOCUS

A report of the incident was filed at around 4:30 am at a hotel complex. Rescuers who arrived at the scene of the incident tried in vain to bring the two men back to life. According to information from the Daily Mail, police are investigating the possibility that the young men, aged 27 and 29, encountered difficulties in the water because they had been drinking and did not know how to swim.

There are currently no signs of criminal activity. Local media report that the two Britons were on holiday with a group of friends.
