The world's first clinic specializing in the treatment of injuries related to anal sex has opened its doors in the Spanish city of Badalona, El Pais reports.
According to surgeon Sandra Vela, about 60 people have already visited the clinic in the first two months of its operation. Some of them have had health problems for several years, but did not dare to visit a doctor, since anal sex is still taboo. At this hospital, people do not feel awkward when specialists ask them various questions to compile an anamnesis, Vela added.
According to her, the clinic treats hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas and many other diseases. The hospital also accepts people who have inserted various objects into their anus, entering them completely.
The surgeon noted that the medical facility also deals with the treatment of sexually transmitted infections and provides information on the prevention of injuries during anal sex.
