A man stabbed himself several times and cut off his penis in the Nigerian city of Bama, the Daily Post reported.
The incident occurred on Friday evening, August 15, in the Hausari area, after the ex-wife of 50-year-old Modu Isa refused to return to him. According to witnesses, after her refusal, Isa stabbed himself three times in the stomach and then cut off his penis.
“Local residents called the police, who seized the knife and took the victim to the Bama hospital“, said security expert Zagazola Makama. The man is currently in the hospital, his condition is stable. The case has been transferred to the Maiduguri Criminal Police.
