American rapper French Montana is engaged to Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra, TMZ reported.
The engagement took place in June during Paris Fashion Week. The couple did not hide their relationship: since 2024, the rapper has been seen with the princess in mosques and restaurants in Dubai and Morocco, on the Parisian Pont des Arts and even on a camel ride in the desert.
The parties have not yet announced the exact date of the wedding. According to TMZ, the princess's choice was approved by her relatives. Mahra's father is the ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. In 2024, she left her first husband, announcing the divorce on the social network. As far as is known, the reason is his infidelity.
Rapper Karim Harbouche, better known by the pseudonym French Montana, was born in Morocco, but managed to make a music career in the United States. He professes Sunni Islam. His marriage to Sheikha Mahra will not be the first either. Montana divorced his first wife in 2012. In 2014, he dated TV star Khloe Kardashian, but the affair did not last long.
In 2018, it was reported that Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum's daughter, Sheikh Latifa, tried to escape Dubai with the help of former French military intelligence agent Hervé Jobert, but she was captured and has been held captive ever since. Her older sister's escape attempt in 2000 ended in the same way.
