Two Americans won the Powerball jackpot of nearly $1.8 billion on Saturday night, ABC reported, quoted by FOCUS.
This is the second largest prize in US lottery history after more than three months without a big winner.
Two lucky tickets – one sold in Missouri, the other in Texas, matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing.
The winning numbers are: 11, 23, 44, 61 and 62 with Powerball 17.
Winning ticket holders who will share the jackpot can choose between a lump sum cash payment of $410.3 million or $893.5 million spread out over 30 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
Saturday's drawing was the 42nd since the Powerball jackpot was last won on May 31 in California.
The current streak tied the game's record for most consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.
With final ticket sales, the Powerball jackpot has reached $1.787 billion – second largest in the game's history.
