Nikolay Slatinsky: Yes, this is fascism - 1
FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

For several days now I have been writing a text with a practically similar title (only not fascism, but Nazism) and I had even shared out loud on FB that I was working on it.

The notable difference was that I was talking (and) about analogies with Germany in the 1930s.

This was written on "Facebook" Nikolay Slatinsky.

Since I am ahead of the curve and whatever I write will seem like a copy of and influence from the article translated here, I will give some theses from the draft that I had reached and did not finish, because I am working on my book quite hard, and and with life, like many of you, we look at each other sternly...

Again, let me pay attention - these below are sketches from the draft of the text that I intended to publish in the coming days.

Trump and his gang are following in some of the main footsteps of Hitler and his gang.

The similarities are obvious even to those blinded by Trumpism.

-- Both Trump and his gang, and Hitler and his gang are outright psychopaths without principles and restraints, crazy megalomaniacs and undisguised misanthropes.

-- Trump, I'm talking about the second Trump, about Trump-47, just like Hitler lost the presidential election – Trump from Biden, Hitler from Hindenburg.

-- The richest businessmen, multi-billionaires support Trump just as the richest industrialists support Hitler.

-- Trump concentrates all power in his hands, just as Hitler did.

-- Trump, just like Hitler, gives an absolutely leading emphasis – already in the new conditions of social networks – on propaganda, brainwashing, stupidizing society and fanaticizing it.

-- The storming of the Capitol in January 2021 can be likened to an analogy of the Beer Hall Putsch in November 1923.

-- And Trump, like Hitler, speaks of returning the state to the times when it was great.

-- Trump, like Hitler, demands sole loyalty to him from everyone in the administrations of the key power structures.

-- Trump, like Hitler, seeks to rename all buildings and institutions in his own name.

-- Trump, also in the image and likeness of Hitler, makes phenomenal reconstructions and cult buildings without sparing state (public) resources.

-- Hitler writes his struggle - “Mein Kampf“, Trump writes on his social network – with the same obsession with greatness, megalomania, hatred of those who are different, ambitions for living space, behavior of a person who has a patent on the Truth of the last resort.

-- And for Trump, as for Hitler, there is no international law, there are no restrictions other than his own desires and ambitions, he is above everything and above everyone.

-- And Trump, like Hitler, gradually begins to rule de facto with decrees, de jure becoming acts equivalent to laws.

-- Gradually, Trump acquires pitiful, but unscrupulous and increasingly cruel imitations of the SS and Gestapo, thanks to the trifles installed at their top, and these powerful, violent structures begin to figuratively and ostentatiously slaughter and hang, and in practice shoot at point blank range.

-- The takeover of Venezuela can be compared in some way to Hitler's return to the Rhineland - the first step in territorial expansion, greeted by the world community without any particular nervous spasms and even with admiration.

The United States may one day, without realizing it, wake up in a completely different country - of an unscrupulous and dangerous Nazi dictatorship. In the new conditions, but with the old methods.

In this sense, I fear that we are facing both the Anschluss and the Sudetenland.

We must be vigilant and not have any special illusions, not to consider the analogies superficial.

The world is going back a hundred years. The USA is going down the path of Nazism, Russia is going down the path of Stalinism.

The Spirit of Anchorage - this is the spirit of Munich.

Europe was once stuck between Nazism and Stalinism.

Now it is stuck between Trumpism and Putinism.

The most terrible thing for Europe is not to fall into Churchill's trap - to choose who to support in the clash of Nazism and Stalinism.

Churchill supports Stalinism because Nazism is at the borders of his country. But he realizes very clearly that both evils are brutal monsters.

Support for one monster solves the problem of destroying the other monster.

And then for decades there is the fear of this, the second monster, and the need to deter it.

It is deterred, it is defeated, but not destroyed, and now it is returning in a terrible and ugly way with Putinism. And doesn't Nazism do the same, isn't it returning in a terrible and ugly way - with Trumpism?

You will say - formal analogies and abnormal exaggerations.

I hope you are right. I hope so!
