Apparently we Bulgarians are cursed by someone to “live in interesting times”. It's a Chinese proverb that can be interpreted in different ways, but it says: “I wish you to live in interesting times!“ And in our country, interestingly, he should not be seen. We hold protests, go to elections, nothing after that, elections again, but no protests. And so 6 times. And the hoe always sits facing up, for us to step on again and again and again. And we keep hearing as an excuse that if there are elections, nothing will change. Well, Hristo Ivanov refuted this. He decided that he had enough of changing the Constitution, even though he doesn't remember who initiated the changes because they turned out to be shoddy. And it went wrong for the second time, after doing this in 2015, when he again resigned as Minister of Justice in Boyko Borisov's cabinet. Then he was “dressed” in the form of the Reform Block. A quiet mimicry followed for several years, to enter the political spotlight strongly with the boarding of “Rosenets“ and with the clear aim of disturbing the peace of the honorary chairman of the DPS Ahmed Dogan. Brightly, by water, to set foot on land in the “private area” of Dogan, where to stick the national flag. Something like Hristo Botev, but with a rubber boat. And somehow rose from silent mimicry. With one sailing under the Bulgarian flag. The evil Dogan, the evil Peevski, the evil DPS, the private beach, the “forbidden beach” etc. The struggle was ideological, somehow coming from the heart, purposeful, driven and with faith in the future. Delyan Peevski announced: “Hristo Ivanov was drinking fatty Turkish coffee and sitting on my lap.” The reference is to the general support of GERB-SDS and DPS to the changes in the Constitution. Peevski then spoke about who Hristo Ivanov wanted for the position of chief prosecutor, as well as what other appointments he had in mind.
Then Slavi Trifonov wrote: „This should be the end of Hristo Ivanov's political career. Minister of Boyko Borisov, defender of freedom on the beach of Ahmed Dogan, the author of the lie that I am the long arm of the DPS, in general, a fighter against the presence of the DPS in the Bulgarian political space. Do you remember how he took a picture in front of the DPS headquarters and shouted: “No vote for Peevski”? And, in the end, snuggled in Delyan Peevski's lap, drinking greasy Turkish coffee. His political career should end here, because of the lies, the delusions, the frauds, the lack of dignity, the lack of any shame, the absolute insolence and bigotry.“

Hristo Ivanov resigned as the leader of "Yes, Bulgaria". He announced this himself at a briefing at the party's headquarters and added that he will not run for party leader again, and that he will give up his seat in the 50th National Assembly. And this so that he has more time for his family. Good reason! What does a person not do to “drink a coffee”. The big question is with whom and who will pay for it, because in the end it is clearly bitter. Very much! Is it bitter because of the taste, is it because of the inconvenience, is it because of the company, is it not free, just like that, just a treat… And after the treat, it's good to go home to the family, that's where he feels best. Also, family is the best thing that can fix a bitter taste in the mouth. Well, every day in life is interesting. Your morning is bitter, your evening is good among loved ones.
The resignation stung Borisov
The resignation of Hristo Ivanov definitely poked Boyko Borisov in an uncomfortable spot, because it was Ivanov who was the mediator between PP-DB and GERB-SDS, plus DPS. He was the politically pleasing one who could make shuttles (we already talked about Turkish coffee). If we exclude the embittered PP-DB, Atanas Atanasov can become such a mediator. Time will tell, but Hristo Ivanov was the most suitable for this job. And it's gone now. The resignation will certainly affect PP-DB. And if it happens that DB eases… What will be left of PP… I guess it's just a matter of time to see.
Leadership
Hristo Ivanov is the leader of the "Yes, Bulgaria" party. since its establishment in 2017 and co-chairman of the coalition "Democratic Bulgaria" since its formation - in 2018. In the third early elections in November 2021, Ivanov and the other three leaders of "Democratic Bulgaria" - Atanas Atanasov, Borislav Sandov and Vladislav Panev resigned because of the results. Later, they were re-elected to the posts, and in 2022, the unification with "We continue the change" took place. The mandate of Hristo Ivanov as the leader of "Yes, Bulgaria" expired at the end of January 2025. During the National Conference at the beginning of March 2024, the internal opposition in "Yes, Bulgaria" in the face of Club "Ninth of December" insisted on a new statute and a change of management.
This is how a simple Jetei drama unfolded. He left boldly from “Rosenets”, then drank “fat Turkish coffee” in his lap, so that a man goes home to his family, where no one asks for his resignation.
A simple life drama - "Rosenets", "greasy Turkish coffee" in the lap, resignation
A person to go home to his family...
