Of course I pray for Ukraine's success in the War! I have been associated with this wonderful country and this amazing people for nearly 50 years. This is what he commented on "Facebook" Nikolay Slatinsky.
1975-1979 I was a student, 1982-1986 I was a graduate student (doctoral student) in Kharkiv.
Some of my closest friends are there.
Shortly before the war, I was in this beloved city and saw them, I was glad that they were alive and well.
Now that they are under the bombs and facing the danger of occupation
(the city is as close to the Rashist Orthodox Caliphate as Pernik is to Sofia),
more and more often I do “evening check“ and I am glad that they are alive, but they are not healthy and cannot be in this terrible stress, in this inhuman tension, in such a nightmarish game of rascal roulette with death...
But praying for Ukraine, I cannot close my eyes to what is happening in the War lately.
I have huge worries.
Some things I don't even understand.
• I do not understand, for example, why Ukraine (soon to be 3 years old) does not stop the transit of gas from Russia through its territory, which de facto secures huge sums that feed the racist military budget?!
Ukraine thus allows Putin to wage war against it with money, a direct consequence of the gas passing through its territory! Is this economic myopia or corruption?
As my Ukrainian friend says – We either do business with Russia or we are at war with it, “tretjego dano“, there is no third option!
However, there is, but it is inadmissible and absurd.
• I don't understand why the Crimean bridge is still standing almost intact!?
Ukrainian strikes reach far into Russian territory; the Ukrainians drove the racist fleet from the Black Sea. And the Bridge is standing!!!!
This bridge must literally be attacked daily. Success, failure – this is a second question, but it can be made unusable or too risky to use.
This is the second absurdity that does not give me a moment's rest.
I am heartbroken that our democratic community of immediate, existential warring with racists and Islamists, with Ayatollahs and Hamas, with monsters and werewolves, could crack.
• First, because Israel's impending strikes on Iran could, I fear almost panicked, lead to a sharp spike in oil prices and that would add tens and tens of billions more to Putin's military budget.
• Second, because I bitterly anticipate that Israel and the Jewish lobby in the US are leaning more and more decidedly towards Trump, while Ukraine is firmly for Harris.
I am writing this even though I have faithful Jewish friends in Bulgaria and Ukraine. And also – realizing what a leftie Harris is.
It pains me that the decline in Western military support for Ukraine has direct and indirect results.
• On the one hand, the shortage of shells, missiles, armored vehicles and air defense equipment in the armed forces of Ukraine is beginning to be felt again.
• On the other hand, the long-planned next summit at the “Ramstein“ and this is no accident. My concerns were expressed in my previous status here – that the West is moving towards a situation where President Zelensky will come to the merciless conclusion that Ukraine cannot continue to fight without serious chances of success and will have to accept the Territories vs. Peace formula, which I call Many territories for long vs. Little peace for short .
Two increasingly powerful processes bring confusion to my analyses.
• The first is the advance of the Rashists along the entire front at the same time, including in Kursk (the whole Kursk operation of Ukraine was a shockingly brave decision and – for me – an act of desperation). There are bends on the Ukrainian side along the length of the front, related both to the aforementioned shortage of vital weapons, equipment and ammunition, and to the overwhelming of the Ukrainians with countless racist cannon fodder.
Rashistan is fighting without any regard for human casualties, while the whole strategy that the West preached and taught us and Ukraine for 30 years was that the main goal was to cause unacceptable losses of military power, which would break the enemy's country. Here in Western Europe, however, even 500 victims on the battlefield would be a shock, for Rashistan, even 500,000 victims do not change anything in its attitudes towards cannibalistic aggression.
• The second process is related to the joining of North Korean soldiers and officers to the Rashist forces.
Some ironize this one. In vain!
This is also of immediate importance, because 5,000 North Koreans means 5,000 Ukrainians facing them, and Ukraine is suffocating in finding (often with coercion and the intervention of task forces to take men to the front through the towns and villages of this suffering dear on my heart's side).
But it also shows how the international of dictators, of Evil mobilizes and acts together much more effectively, more decisively, while we in the West imagine that we can continue to live as usual, and what if somewhere beyond Europe some Ukraine is at war with Putin...
Regarding the War, I feel unrepresented in the European Parliament and in other European and generally Western structures, although I always vote for my representatives there.
Our politicians in Europe seem to be deaf, dumb and blind to what is happening. They can (and should!) try to start a Debate about reminding and uniting Europe in the face of the monsters that are destroying the World and dooming Human Civilization to excruciating agony and God forbid – to a fatal end.
Two emphasis should be leading in the need for such a Debate.
• The first accent is “Either-Or“! This is the question before Europe with terrible force – Either we will win, Or we will perish.
• The second highlight is “Now or Never”! Now if we don't come together and take action, We will never come together and survive.
The bell should ring loudly and ... even louder.
The knife rests against the bone, rather, it is already breaking Europe's chest and may soon plunge fatally into her heart.
And it's not true that it's important all the time – if we can't now – Europe to unite before the jagged face of the ugly and sinister threat.
In big politics, in geopolitics, the maxim Better late than never does not apply...
It will always be never if we hope it happens if not now then at least later.
It is always Never if we hope for ever!
It is tragically clear to me:
Ever means only one thing – Never!
My life is to be lived. But I hurt for our children and grandchildren. They probably didn't happen to us, their parents. We are not doing what we need to do to give them a chance and they like us (after the fall of the Wall) to live normally and peacefully. If we do not help them now, then we are committing not only a huge betrayal, but also an apocalyptic crime.
