On the occasion of Trump's first hundred days, he held another huge rally in his style, gathering thousands and thousands of people at the Sports Expo Center at Macomb County Community College, Michigan. The small town of Warren on the outskirts of Detroit barely accommodated the entire crowd that gathered to hear the president's 90-minute speech. In it, he outlined many of the historic policies of his first hundred days in office. An interesting touch is that he was accompanied by the liberal governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, who is otherwise part of the Democratic Party elite, but apparently even she realizes that a turn is needed and liberal progressives cannot continue on the old track if they do not want to end up in the garbage dump of history.
What were some of the main highlights of this speech? First of all, there was the clear conclusion that America is back. It is back for its citizens, it is back on the international stage. The current administration in the White House made many promises — all of which are currently being fulfilled. In the campaign, the president promised to deal with migration, promised tariffs, promised deregulation, promised to dismantle the deep state, promised to fiercely deal with Chinese dumping of goods, promised to achieve peace in Ukraine and the Middle East. All of these basic strokes are being worked on, and on some, the large-scale implementation of the promises is already yielding gigantic results. Let's see what actually happened on each of them.
Migration is an undeniable gigantic success of President Trump. Illegal border crossings have fallen by 99.9 percent. In practice, there is almost no illegal entry into the country at the moment. This is against the backdrop of the great migration of peoples under Biden, in which hundreds of thousands of people crossed the border every month. For example, in December 2023 — 249,741 people, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, — have illegally entered the United States. Among those millions of people who have broken into America in recent years, there are plenty of criminals, sexual predators, and mentally ill people. Of course, not all of them are like that. But there have been some. Today, the White House first stopped this invasion across the southern border and secondly — began the largest deportation program in history. According to “Newsweek“, more than 113,000 illegal immigrants have been deported so far. And the pace of deportations is accelerating.
Tariffs were a cornerstone of Trump's campaign, and he has been working on the issue with enviable enthusiasm and energy. Tariffs are not just some whim or some glitch in the system, as liberals make them out to be. This is a fundamental issue. It achieves a furious dismantling of the uncontrolled system of "free" trade, which is essentially a source of financing and legitimization for the indiscriminate export of sovereignty from democratically elected rulers around the world to an anonymous and uncontrolled supranational bureaucracy. The elimination of uncontrolled trade relations and the return of tariffs as the main instrument of the economy and politics represents overcoming a deviation. Because, let's not be mistaken - today's duty-free trade is precisely the deviation that has been applied for several decades. The rule before that has always been that sovereign states impose tariffs on imported goods.
In terms of deregulation and increasing efficiency, only one thing needs to be said - DOGE. According to official data, the state structure for government efficiency, headed by Elon Musk, has saved taxpayers about $ 160 billion as of April 20. Cost cutting continues and will not stop. This goes hand in hand with sweeping deregulation and simplification of the administrative burden. For example, the environmental administration led by Lee Zeldin alone has carried out such a large-scale deregulation that you can now get a permit for a modern metallurgical plant in a matter of weeks - something that used to take years, if it happened at all. Ask the giant “Hyundai“, which received environmental approvals for its new plant in the States in record time. In our country, if you want to open a car wash, you will need months of discussion and cajoling the relevant Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and Water Resources.
The deep state is also in the process of dismantling. The new administration of the FBI and intelligence is tirelessly clearing out the Augean stables inherited from the liberal-progressive administrations of recent decades. Mass layoffs of all kinds of deep state personnel have begun. Separately — the iron Pam Bondi of the Justice Department has also driven them to the statute. It is a matter of months, if this pace of dismantling of the deep state people is maintained, that they will be removed from this type of institutional turnover. This, when it happens, will be the greatest historical victory over the illegitimate and undemocratic giant power of the unelected.
China also deserves attention. Beijing has been playing dirty for decades — undermining its own currency, which is always done in an export-oriented economy. It heavily subsidizes every production in order to undermine competition and take it over. Chinese dumping has become the norm in international trade. After Trump's gigantic tariffs, we are already seeing the beginnings of Beijing's suffocation — industrial production is decreasing, financial transactions are decreasing, everything is going downhill. As The Wall Street Journal noted yesterday in its article — China is today economically at the level it was at the peak of the pandemic. And this will only get worse.
The issue that is being worked on intensively, but there is still not much progress, is the issue of peace. Negotiations regarding Russian aggression in Ukraine have come up against Putin's unwillingness to stop the bloodshed. If this continues, the Kremlin dictator will have to collide head-on with the steam train of American hegemony. It remains to be seen what will happen in the Middle East, where the key is stopping Tehran's quasi-imperial ambitions. These issues are being worked on - we are waiting for the results, which I am sure will not be long in coming.
The entire construction around Trump has one main task - overthrowing the liberal-progressive agenda. An end to progressive obsessions and extremism. All this is happening before our eyes. It is accompanied by the normal mistakes or omissions in such a gigantic process. However, they are the dirty water along which we should not throw the baby out. The baby of the reborn normality, of the constitutional state, of sovereign peoples and of democratic governments. This baby will grow up, grow stronger and become a great and wonderful person. This person will determine the fate of the world tomorrow. Let there be no doubt about it. We are witnessing the greatest shift in the global order since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
