Will "Democratic Bulgaria" try to "swallow" "We continue the change - 1
FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

The actions of the Anti-Corruption Commission somehow seem deliberate, tendentious, custom-made, but with one clear goal - to compromise the opposition. Sorry, not the entire opposition. Even in the opposition - we are referring to "Democratic Bulgaria" and "We continue the change", there are those who are loved and desired - DB, and those who are in the crosshairs - PP. If the coalition splits, Borisov and Peevski "will put the cards on the table". There will simply be no one to play with. The others are small - "Majesty" and MECH, and they are needed only to find a story in parliament. To hear something different from what should be heard from the ruling party. And

“Vazrazhdane“ is an opposition, but it is somehow strange – it is not a small party, it is loud, but it does not bite – it only barks. And against this background, to break up PP-DB is a real blow.

The joke with the PP mayors is a classic political performance. Let them play for a year or two, let them think that they are starting to put the “puzzle” together and when they least expect it – strikes. They, the innocent, the fighters against the model – whatever it is, they are the new, sorry, the change, that – new, was born later.

Weaken PP, and DB will come themselves
Borisov has repeatedly made it clear that he and the Democratic Party have many "common interests" and are ready to hold talks with them, while the PP - in this case they are simply superfluous. In principle unnecessary, but rationally necessary - we saw this in the "assembly".

Now the question is how long "Democratic Bulgaria" will endure watching the agony of "We Continue the Change". And this is because some voters will certainly reorient themselves - from the PP to the Democratic Party.

In general, the Anti-Corruption Commission is systematically working against mayors from the opposition - such as Ahmed Dogan and "We Continue the Change". They are looking for image damage to the PP in order to suck them out.

The votes of no confidence that we are witnessing have the same proponents, the same supporters. But is that so? "We continue the change" (PP) will support the vote of no confidence against the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov for its failure in the environmental and water sectors. We heard this from Asen Vassilev. However, what will the DB do… Either they…, or they something else…

The PP bragged about their mayors – how they had broken through, how they had changed, how the city or region would return to the people of the “conquered state“. Sofia is shaking, Varna too. The DB is silent, talking, analyzing, but not too loudly, because they also know that they have mayors. Interesting political processes are underway, but there is also an opportunity in them. It remains to be seen whether the right moment will come when “Democratic Bulgaria“ will tried to “swallow“ “We continue the change“.
