Social networks have collapsed the social hierarchy and eliminated the fourth branch of government. If 20 years ago only television and newspapers created news and comments, today news and comments are created by subscribers to "Facebook" and "Instagram".

These subscribers are both consumers and creators of content. Journalists are no longer needed. There are no authorities, there is only shouting. On the Internet, the opinion of a professor who has dedicated his entire life to science and self-improvement weighs exactly as much as the cries of an unemployed illiterate loser. It is not the wisest voices that prevail, but the loudest.
In fact, social networks have eliminated not only the fourth, but also the other three powers. The Internet crowd is now dispensing justice, writing laws, imposing its own morality, based not on values, but on superficial irritations.
The network gives birth to anarchy and creates the illusion of that permissiveness that Dostoevsky described in “Demons“.
The pendulum has swung with terrifying speed towards the extreme point of virtual anarchy. At the other end, dictatorship awaits us.
And it will not be virtual.
