Marco Bedzecki wins San Marino sprint race - 1

Italian rider Marco Bedzecki with Aprilia Racing won the San Marino MotoGP Grand Prix sprint race at the Marco Simoncelli circuit in Misano (Italy). The Italian completed 13 laps in a best time of 19:52.966 minutes. He took full advantage of Marc Marquez's fall and overtook his brother Alex Marquez (Spain, Gresini) by one second, who remained second, BTA reported.

Italian Fabio di Gianantonio from the Pertamina Enduro team finished in third position, two and a half seconds behind the winner.

Bedzecki won a sprint for the second time in his career, and this is also his second victory of the season after the one at the British Grand Prix at the end of May.

Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro) and Pedro Acosta (Gresini) also found a place in the top five.

In the middle of the race, the absolute dominator and leader in the standings, Marc Marquez (Ducati), fell on a corner and dropped out of the race. The Spaniard has won 14 of the 16 sprints since the start of the season.

In the general classification, the lead of Spaniard Marc Marquez still looks very impressive, as he has 487 points, second is Alex Marquez with 314, and in third position - the Italian Francesco Banaia (Ducati) with 237. Today's winner Marco Bedzecki is fourth with 209 points.

Bedzecki will start from the first position in tomorrow's race, followed by Alex Marquez and Frenchman Fabio Quartaro (Monster Energy Yamaha), and Marc Marquez will start fourth.
