Al-Ahly produced real drama in the Saudi Professional League after coming from three goals down to draw 3-3 against Al-Hilal at the “Al Inma Bank Stadium” in Jeddah.
Even before the break, the visitors were leading convincingly - Theo Hernandez opened the scoring, and Malcom scored twice after good work by Darwin Nunes and Salem Al Dosari. Al-Ahly looked helpless, but the second half turned everything around.
Two goals from Ivan Toni in the space of nine minutes restored the hosts' hopes, and in added time Merih Demiral made it 3-3 after a cross from Riyad Mahrez.
The result leaves the two teams level on points, with Al-Ahly in eighth place, just behind Al-Hilal on goal difference. Elsewhere, Al-Qadisiyah moved to the top of the table after a late 2-1 win over Al-Khalij, thanks to a goal from Abdullah Al-Salem in the 91st minute.
