CSKA gets rid of Kerkez - 1

Dušan Kerkez is no longer the head coach of CSKA. This was officially announced by the club. "In addition to the coach, the club is also parting ways with the previous coaching staff of the first team. In the upcoming championship match as a guest of Botev (Vratsa) on September 22 (Monday) at 20:30, CSKA will be led by Valentin Iliev", said a statement from the "red".

Kerkez took over CSKA in early June and remained in charge for less than four months. Under his leadership, the army team achieved only one victory in eight efbet league matches for the new season and with only 7 points they occupy an unenviable 12th place in the standings, BTA adds.

Dušan Kerkez was born on May 1, 1976 in Belgrade. During his football career, he played as a midfielder and defended the colors of Voždovac, Radnički (Obrenovac), Leotar, Zrinski Mostar, Rijeka and the Cypriot AEL and Aris (Limassol).

During his coaching career, he led AEL, Čukaricki and Botev (Plovdiv), leading the “canaries” to win the Bulgarian Cup in 2024.
