Ludogorets coach Rui Mota was not happy with his team's performance in the draw with Spartak (Varna), criticizing it mostly for its performance before the break, BTA reported.
"No, I can't be happy with the result. We gave the first 45 minutes to the opponent. We should have scored in the first half, we didn't. Spartak is a very well-organized team. In the second half, we changed the game plan and had enough chances. Out of five chances, we should have scored at least three. There was nothing positive today“, commented the Portuguese specialist.
"I don't know if there was an underestimation, the players knew that it would be very difficult after the break. We can't be happy today, we lost two points and that's our fault. We know that we have another important match ahead of us, we have to beat CSKA 1948", said Rui Motta, whose team will first face Young Boys in the Europa League.
Ludogorets finished 1:1 with Spartak (Varna) at home and dropped new points in the fight to defend their title. The champions have not lost yet this season, but they already have five draws, and they also conceded a second home hick against a more modest opponent at home, after losing points to Lokomotiv (Sofia). Spartak did not lose a match to Ludogorets for the first time in the elite.
