Comment by Zhelyu STANKOV on "Tema sport":
Svetoslav Vutsov is not the first, and certainly not the last, footballer to withdraws from the national team. However, this scandal is not his first, we will see if it will be his last. His is not a resignation, because from his explanation, as well as Levski's unclear and vague statement, we understand that some sunny day Svetlyo will play for Bulgaria again, if, of course, he is invited.
The interesting thing, however, is why no one is telling the whole story in plain text. Vutsov slept several times, they will make him second Emil Kostadinov. It is clear that it is not only that. There was a history with people from the headquarters. But name these people, right?
However, the ball is very low in terms of plot and participants. At one time, Stiliyan Petrov, when he resigned from the national team, named the reason - the attitude of the coach Hristo Stoichkov. The latter, in turn, resigned before that because of Hristo Bonev. Then Ivelin Popov because of Yordan Lechkov. Also Dimitar Berbatov. Names, names! Characters, characters! And now what – Sashko and Svetlyo. Take your dolls, give me your rags. And all this against the backdrop of the catastrophic state of the national team.
Somewhere here we have to introduce Ventsi Stefanov into the plot, not so much because of the period in which Svetoslav Vutsov was seconded to the bench in Slavia, but the process of the goalkeeper's transfer to Levski, when the boss of the Whites somehow muttered through his teeth that Svetlyo was a very good boy, but he didn't happen to a father. Velislav Vutsov certainly is and continues to be a good and responsible parent, but here Stefanov's idea was that a father's advice should not be taken for granted in Svetoslav's development as a goalkeeper. Svetlyo's lurches towards CSKA were unexplained, but confirmed by his father, and this is one of the details that Ventsi Stefanov probably has in mind. It is not okay for Vili to be the final authority for everything that happens to his son and from the position of a coach who has not achieved anything significant in so many years, to give his son's mentors advice. From the position of a commentator and analyst, it is also not good for Velislav to speak in an edifying tone about any situations and cases related to Svetlyo.
Vili's image over the years and his sharp tongue are not beneficial for the goalkeeper or in Levski, and even more so for the national team. And from “Gerena“ with what eyes will they let their national players go in the future, if the environment there is not suitable and the attitude towards everyone is not the same?! A total boycott and that's it!
