Svetoslav Dyakov: Blagoevgrad is no longer a football city - 1

Pirin Blagoevgrad's executive director Svetoslav Dyakov admitted that the club is not in a good financial situation, but reassured the fans that the debts to the National Revenue Agency will be paid.

The team's license will not be revoked because the "eagles" will pay the debts by the deadline - October 21.

"Pirin fans can rest assured because we have done everything necessary for the team to continue its participation. I will not comment on the amount to be paid to the National Revenue Agency. Our owners have reacted and the problem is almost solved. Blagoevgrad is not a football city. The assistance to our owners is extremely small. We have two owners - one from Blagoevgrad and one from Sofia. We had meetings with people from the business, but since then there has been no reaction. After the news of the license revocation broke, there was no reaction again. We probably deserve this fate because we are careless about the Pirin team," he shared in an interview for the show "Arena Sport" on BNT.

The young man from Blagoevgrad is categorical that the most important thing for the club is the school, even though it costs more than the representative team.

"The problems cannot help but affect the team. It can be seen from the results. We have no chance of being at the top of the standings. We rely on younger guys. This pressure affects them and prevents them from showing a better game. If the club fails to stabilize financially, the school will suffer. The school costs us more than the first team. We have a large school with three elite teams. We try not to turn away children. The school is the most important thing. I dream of seeing our children playing on the big European pitches," the former midfielder added.

The long-time captain of the national team commented on the team's form and the case with Svetoslav Vutsov.

"I don't know if I'm the right person to say why things aren't working out in the national team. We need to start building bases and pitches. Everyone is developing, and we're stuck in one place. We're lying to ourselves with this football. Urgent reforms need to be adopted. Many teams should bet mainly on Bulgarians. I'm not familiar with the case of Svetoslav Vutsov. These things should remain in the team's kitchen. "It shouldn't reach the media, because that puts a lot of pressure on the shaken national team," added the midfielder.

According to him, Levski is Ludogorets' most prominent competitor for the championship title.

"Levski shows that it is a serious contender for the title, considering Ludogorets' hesitant games. Levski plays good football. Congratulations to the coaching team, who are doing a good job. Their successes are deserved," concluded Dyakov.
