Dia Evtimova and Elena-Teodora Kadar (Romania) won the doubles title at the clay tennis tournament in Hilton Head (USA). The competition has a prize fund of 15 thousand dollars, BTA reports. Evtimova and Kadar, second in the schedule, defeated the Americans Bella Payne and Sarah Shumate in the final with 6:1, 2:6, 10:4 in exactly an hour on the court.
Evtimova and Kadar convincingly took the first set, lost the second, but in the third decisive part they led 6:3 and closed the match without problems.
The Bulgarian won the 20th title in her career in the duets of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments and the first for 2025. Evtimova also played in the doubles final in early September in Kayseri (Turkey), where she became the runner-up.
