The Dobrudzha team achieved a very important victory, defeating Montana 1:0 in the derby at the bottom of the First League, BTA reported.
Thus, the team from Dobrich won valuable three points, thanks to which it climbed to 12th place, now having 19 points, the same as Spartak (Varna). Montana remains in last place with 15. Dobrudzha's success was achieved with one less man in the last half hour, after Vasko Oliveira was sent off with a red card.
In the sixth minute, the referee of the match, Dimitar Dimitrov, awarded a penalty to the hosts. Bogdan Kostov from Dobrudzha broke through from the right and entered the penalty area, and on the line Jorginho Soares from the guests tripped him. During the penalty kick, Valdumar Te deceived goalkeeper Marcio Rosa, who threw himself to the right, and he sent the ball into his unprotected left corner - 1:0.
In the 39th minute, Boris Dimitrov from Montana directed a dangerous shot at the goal of the team from Dobrich, but goalkeeper Galin Georgiev managed to save it.
In the 66th minute, Vasko Oliveira from Dobrudzha was sent off with a direct red card. He brought down Filip Ezhike, and first referee Dimitrov signaled for the game to continue, but then he was called to review the situation on replay by the VAR referees and he expelled the player from the "yellow-green" team.
Despite having ten men on the field, Dobrudzha did not give up attacking and keeping the ball away from their goal, and in the 88th minute, Anton Ivanov's shot went close to the left post of Marcio Rosa's goal.
In the next round, Dobrudzha hosts Cherno More in a regional derby, and Montana will host Botev (Plovdiv) at home.
