Beroe and Arda ended in a goalless draw in a match from the 22nd round of the First League championship, played in Stara Zagora. In the first half, both teams had their chances, but failed to convert. The game continued to be two-sided after the break, and the post saved the guests after a header by Juan Carlos Pineda, BTA reported.
Beroe's goal scorer Alberto Salido, who has scored 10 goals in the championship so far, remained outside the group for the match and is expected to join CSKA 1948 by the end of the transfer window. The owner of the “red” also hinted at this Tsvetomir Naydenov with a post on social networks.
So Beroe continues to be without a win in 13 consecutive matches of the championship, while Arda has a loss, a win and a draw since the renewal of the championship for the spring part.
The two teams started the match actively and equally, and yet the guests from Kardzhali had greater possession of the ball and created two dangers through Svetoslav Kovachev and Vyacheslav Velev, but their shots did not find the target.
The first very serious danger came in the 24th minute, when Santiago Brunelli found Nene on the right flank, and the home player feinted Dimitar Velkovski in the penalty area and shot from a small angle, but Anatoly Gospodinov saved.
In the 32nd minute, the guests organized a good move, which ended with a shot by Andre Shinyashiki, but Juan Pablo Salomoni managed to clear in front of goal line.
Two minutes later, Beroe had another excellent chance to open the scoring after Tijan Sona crossed sharply into Arda's penalty area, where Emir Kuhinja sent the ball over the goal with a close-range shot.
Just two minutes after the restart, Patrick Luan advanced down the right flank and crossed into Beroe's penalty area, where Dimitar Velkovski found the ball in the air, but his shot went inches wide of the post.
Arda had another excellent chance to score in the 51st minute, when Svetoslav Kovachev crossed from a free kick, and Martin Paskalev headed the ball under the post. Goalkeeper Jaume Valens, however, cleared the ball for a corner.
Beroe responded three minutes later when Emir Kuhinja brought Nene into shooting position, but the Spaniard's shot went inches wide of the post.
The home side had two more chances in the next two minutes. First, Juan Carlos Pineda's header from a corner hit the crossbar, in the next situation there was a mix-up, in which Anatoliy Gospodinov intervened decisively after another shot by Pineda from close range.
Vyacheslav Velev crossed dangerously in the 69th minute, and Beroe's goalkeeper failed to catch and knocked it at the feet of Antonio Vutov, who shot without preparation, but sent the ball over the goal.
Three minutes before the end of regular time, Birsent Karagaren entered the home team's penalty area, feinted Tijan Sona and shot into the far corner, but Jaume Valens intervened decisively and knocked it into a corner.
In this way, Beroe remained in 14th place in the standings with an asset of 18 points, while Arda is in 8th place with 28 points.
In the next round of the championship, Beroe is a guest of Botev (Vratsa), with the match scheduled for February 28 at 12:30 p.m. A day earlier, at 12:45 p.m., Arda hosts Spartak (Varna) in the opening match of the 23rd round of the First League.
