Amen Thompson made a basket at the buzzer for the Houston Rockets' 123-122 victory over the visiting Miami Heat in a regular-season game of the National Basketball Association (NBA) of the United States and Canada, BTA reported.

37-year-old Kevin Durant made history by surpassing Michael Jordan with 32,292 career points and moving into fifth place on the NBA's scoring list. Durant scored 27 points and has 32,294 in his career. The late Kobe Bryant is in fourth place with 33,643, and leader LeBron James with 43,241.

Thompson finished with 24 points and 18 rebounds. He was one of three players to record a double-double, along with Reed Shepherd (23 points and 14 assists) and Alperen Shengun (19 points and 12 rebounds).

Bam Adebayo had 32 points and 21 rebounds for the Heat, while Tyler Herro scored 25 points but missed all five of his shots in the final quarter.

Luke Kennard hit a three-pointer with 0.6 seconds left to give Los Angeles a 105-104 win over host Orlando. Trailing by two points with 2.6 seconds left, Marcus Smart passed to a completely free Kennard, who secured the team's ninth straight victory. Luka Doncic had 33 points and eight assists for the winners, while Austin Reeves had 26 points.

LeBron James, 41, scored 12 and passed Robert Parish for the most regular-season games in NBA history with 1,612.

LaMelo Ball's 29 points led Charlotte to another strong offensive performance in a 124-101 victory over visiting Memphis. The Grizzlies have lost 10 of their last 11 games.

Shay Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points and Oklahoma City beat host Washington 132-11, extending its winning streak to 11 and the Wizards' losing streak to 15. Isaiah Hartenstein added 9 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists, narrowly missing his second career triple-double.
