Inter recorded their third consecutive championship victory after a 3-0 home win against Cagliari in a match from the 33rd round of the Italian Serie A, BTA reported.
“The Nerazzurri“ took the lead in the 52nd minute with a goal from Marcus Thuram after an assist from Federico Dimarco. Just four minutes later, Nicolo Barella doubled the hosts' lead. Substitute Piotr Zielinski made the final 3-0 in added time after a pass from Denzel Dumfries.
Inter leads convincingly in the standings with 78 points, 12 more than second-placed Napoli, who host Lazio tonight. Cagliari is in 16th place with 33 points.
In another match, Sassuolo beat Como 2-1 in a match from the 33rd round of the Italian Serie A.
The hosts struck their blow at the end of the first half, when between the 42nd and 44th minutes, two goals were scored by Christian Volpato and Angolan striker M'Bala Nzola. Como reacted even before the break, with Nicolas Paz reducing the score two minutes into added time.
In the second half, Como coach Cesc Fabregas made five substitutions, but they did not yield the result and his team lost the match.
Como remains in fifth place with 58 points, but could be overtaken by Roma tomorrow. Sassuolo is in ninth position with 45 points.
