Roma and Atalanta drew - 1

Roma and Atalanta finished with a score of 1:1 in a match from the 33rd round of the Italian Serie A, BTA reported.

At the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the two teams played an equal match, in which they were more careful to lose to us and logically took one point each, thus preserving their chances for the top 4.

The Bergamasques took the lead in the 12th minute with a goal by Nikola Krstovic after an assist by Martin de Roon.

Roma managed to equalize at the very end of the first half with a goal by Mario Hermoso after a pass by Devane Rensch.

Roma occupies 6th place in the standings with 58 points, while Atalanta is in 7th position with four points less.

Earlier yesterday, Lazio won 2-0 away from Napoli in the 33rd round of Serie A, dealing a serious blow to the Neapolitans' ambitions to win the title. They are 12 points behind the top, where Inter is, and in the next round the “Nerazzurri“ from Milan can celebrate the “Scudetto”. Inter has 78 points, after last night's 3-0 win over Cagliari, while Napoli has 66.

The result fully corresponds to what was shown on the pitch, as the guests from Lazio were much better and in addition to the two goals, they also missed a penalty in the first half. Thus, they have three wins in their last five league matches and occupy 9th position with 47 points, 6 behind 7th-placed Atalanta, with whom they will also face in the Coppa Italia next week. But although in different positions in the standings, the history of the matches between these two teams follows its own logic, with Lazio achieving its fourth consecutive victory over this rival at the “Diego Armando Maradona“ stadium.

In the 6th minute, the “eagles“ opened the scoring through Matteo Cancellieri, who received a perfect pass from Kenneth Taylor and fired an excellent shot on the ground into the middle of the net. Goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was unable to intervene.

In the 31st minute, Lazio was awarded a penalty after Stanislav Lobotka fouled Tijani Noslin, and the referee needed support from the replay system (VAR). Mattia Dzaccani, who has yet to score in 2026, got behind the ball and fired, only to see goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic save his shot.

In the 57th minute, Lazio doubled their lead through Toma Basic, who was the best at locating a rebound and fired a magnificent shot just behind the penalty area line. The ball went in very close to the right post, out of reach of Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, making it 0:2.

Napoli responded with a shot on the post by Alisson Santos, but until the end of the match there were not many chances to even reduce the deficit. Instead, Maurizio Sarri's men could have reached a third goal, but Nuno Tavares failed to find the net from close range.
