Milan took all three points away from Verona - 1

Milan defeated Verona by a narrow 1-0 margin in a match from the 33rd round of Serie A. Adrien Rabiot scored the winning goal, BNT reported.

"The Rossoneri" opened the scoring at the "Marcantonio Bentegodi" stadium in Verona in the 41st minute. Rafael Leao brought Adrien Rabiot alone against the goalkeeper and the midfielder opened the scoring with a shot on the ground.

The first accurate shot for the hosts came in added time of the first half. Mike Mengian saved a shot by Rafik Belgali.

A quarter of an hour before the end of regular time, Matteo Gabbia could have doubled the visitors' lead, but his goal was disallowed after VAR intervention due to Santiago Jimenez being offside.

Milan climbed to second place in the standings with an asset of 66 points. Verona dropped to the last 20th position in the standings with 18 points.

Earlier today, Cremonese only managed a point against Torino at home in their battle for survival in Serie A, BTA reported.

Cremonese remains seriously concerned about its elite status, after it only ended 0:0 with Torino at home in the 33rd round of Serie A and collects 28 points, being in 17th place. Before the match, they had 27, the same number as the first team in the danger zone, Lecce, which will play its match on Monday against Fiorentina.

The hosts, who are having a very wide-ranging season, needed a win to pull more. But in the first 45 minutes, neither team performed spectacularly, with a total of two shots at the start, neither of which was on target.

The first was a blocked attempt by Alberto Grassi after a Cremonese corner, and the second was a powerful left-footed shot by Federico Bonazzoli from the corner of the penalty area, shortly before the end of the half.

In the 60th minute, the hosts from Cremonese thought they had the lead in the score after Federico Bashiroto sent the ball into the net. A review by the video assistant referee (VAR) showed that Bashirotto had fouled goalkeeper Paleari in the conversion.

Despite their best efforts, Cremonese and Torino finished goalless on Sunday. The hosts Cremona have not won at home in Serie A since the start of December and are now just one point above the relegation zone, with 18th-placed Lecce due to play on Monday night. Torino remain in 12th place and will remain there throughout the week, regardless of other results on Sunday and Monday.
