Lyon delivered a small surprise, defeating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in their visit to the "Park des Princes" in the 30th round of Ligue 1. "The Kids" scored two early goals, by Endrik in the 6th minute and Afonso Moreira in the 18th minute. In the 94th minute, Hvica Kvaratskhelia pulled one back for the hosts, but it was too late to turn things around. Thus, Lyon dealt a blow to the championship ambitions of its rival, who missed out on regaining the 4-point lead at the top of the standings over the chasing Lens, and the battle for the title will become even more interesting in the final rounds of the campaign.
The match started strongly for Lyon and in the 6th minute Afonso Moreira brought Endrik behind the defense, and he shot strongly from a small angle and with the help of the post scored for 0:1.
Then in the 12th minute Matvey Safonov showed brilliant reflexes, saving a shot by Abner Vinicius.
In the 18th minute, the score was doubled. Lyon organized a counterattack, Endrik passed to Moreira, who broke away from the defense and coolly scored for 0:2.

However, this result is useful for maintaining the intrigue in the battle for the title. PSG remain the leaders, but only one point ahead of Lens. The Parisians have 63 points, while their pursuer has 62, but also a game in hand.
For Lyon, however, the victory is extremely important, as the team entered the top 4 with 54 points.
