The national mini-football team defeated Ukraine at the Nations Games tournament  - 1

The Bulgarian national mini-football team started its participation in the prestigious Nations Games tournament with a convincing 5:2 victory over Ukraine. The match was held in the Romanian city of Targu Mures and impressed with the excellent performance of a number of debutants, who showed that the rejuvenation of the team is paying off.

The “Lions“ set the pace from the very beginning. In the 6th minute, Alex Kolev opened the scoring after a solo breakthrough and a precise shot. The Bulgarians' pressure continued and in the 15th minute, Radostin Stoilov doubled the lead, also scoring a debut goal. In the 29th minute, Zlatin Boyanov made it 3:0, which reinforced Bulgaria's strong performance in the first half.

Ukraine, which ranks 11th in the European rankings, reacted and scored two goals back through Vladimir Voronov and Denis Blank, but the Bulgarian team remained calm and disciplined. In the 42nd minute, Nikolay Marinov scored for 4:2, and the final 5:2 was made by Denis Ivanov from a penalty in the 51st minute.

The victory is a serious sign of the potential of the renewed squad and gives Bulgaria excellent chances to reach the final of the tournament.
