Lia Karatancheva reached the doubles final of the clay tennis tournament in Bonita Springs with a prize fund of 100 thousand dollars, BTA reports. The Bulgarian tennis player and her partner Anna Rogers, seeded No. 2 in the schedule, prevailed in the semifinals over the third seeds Ingrid Neal and Abigail Rencheli with 6:4, 6:1. The match lasted 73 minutes.
Karatancheva and Rogers reached a key breakthrough in the third game of the first set, which provided them with the advantage in the part. In the second set, they showed complete superiority and finished the match without difficulty.
In the dispute for the trophy, the two will meet the winners of the other semifinal between the tandem of Mel Elizabeth Gonzalez and Daria Vidmanova against Maria Lourdes Carle and Elizabeth Mandlik.
To date, Lia Karatancheva has eight doubles titles in ITF tournaments, one of which she won earlier in the season in Orlando.
