"Thank you for the award, I am honored. I'm glad to receive such awards, above all I'm glad that with these two goals, both myself and my teammates managed to get back on the winning track.
We need to consolidate our position and get points against Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) to stay in sixth place. The season was fluctuating because many changes took place in the winter. We rely on a lot of young guys and it will take time to get in optimal shape. I think we are working pretty well and sooner or later the results will come
I think that there is no place for accounts in football. We have to play match by match and take the maximum number of points. There is also an option, if we win in Plovdiv, then we are nine points away from fourth place. There is a small chance that the fourth will play barrage, but still. Maybe we should chase that ultimate goal. If things turn out so that we play for seventh place, then we will think about the matches.
It is important to play the team well. Let the young gain self-confidence and we the experienced help them. We are training in the best way and I think things will work out.
I am totally focused in these matches. I have a contract for another year, my future is linked to the club. I haven't played well enough in the last months. I will try my best to get back in top shape. I didn't play regularly, but that has to do with the fact that my colleagues played better than me. Our club has enough strong players. That's how things happen in football, everything happens at times. It is important, when you are not in shape, to train and get out of the situation.
My personal opinion is that Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) plays perhaps the most valuable football in our country, it has a well-established style of play. A team that has quite a few prominent performers. With a young, good coach who is building something good there.
About the mentor, Valentin Iliev, Kirilov stated:
"Every coach has his own views. Whenever there is a coaching change there is momentum in the team. Certainly a man who is extremely disciplined and a man who I think has a great future as a coach.
"We had a little time to work with him, but now the program is lighter. We will have more time to practice. I hope we can build a good team that pleases the eye, play good football. There are guys in the team who have a big future. As long as they don't think now that by being starters they have reached their maximum in their development.
