The match started 11 minutes late due to problems with the video replay cameras (VAR), with fans standing in the stands. This forced the teams to continue the warm-up longer than planned. "From a physical point of view, and from a mental point of view it affected. You also saw the weather - it's been cold for a week, and today it's 25 degrees here - summer. Inevitably, these things had an impact, but I say - we should not look for excuses. It was important for me that we got the victory. The boys try, they try. We also make mistakes, but who doesn't? Everyone makes mistakes, but I can congratulate them.
"We have never been with three central defenders. We have always played with four in the defensive line. That when we have the ball we play differently, few people can see that. But one thing I want to say is that this victory is thanks to this crowd that supported us today in this stadium.
In the next meeting on September 28, CSKA-Sofia will be visiting Black Sea in Varna. Ilian Iliev's players are one of the most stable in terms of performance, so there is no doubt that it will be a difficult match for the visitors from Sofia. But the coach showed confidence. "CSKA goes out in every match to win. I can only say that about the next match," concluded Tomas.
