Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said that he is happy with the current 2024 season, although he admits that it was one of the worst for him in terms of results, BTA reported.
Djokovic's Olympic gold from the Paris Games remains his only title of the season.
"Compared to most other years of my career, this season was the worst in terms of results, but that was going to happen sooner or later. Everything is OK. I am happy to have won the gold medal at the Olympic Games. That was my main goal this year," commented the Serbian, quoted by tennishead.net.
"Of course, I would have liked to have won another Grand Slam title, but it is what it is. This is a season I have to accept and I am more than happy with what I have achieved in my career" , added Novak Djokovic.
This is the first time Djokovic has won one or no titles in a season since 2005, when he was still 18 years old. Now he has to participate in the "Masters" the tournament in the French capital Paris and possibly the ATP Finals.
"As long as I still feel the need to compete, I will. Let's see how long this will last," the Serbian tennis player added.
