Seven were detained before and during the Bulgarian derby between Levski and CSKA, the Ministry of the Interior announced, reported Gong.bg.
Two of them are for attempting to import pyrotechnics, another three for possession of narcotic substances, one for theft and one for failure to comply with a police order. Match #1 in our country was played in front of over 27,000 spectators and was won 1:0 by the "blues". During the match itself, rockets were not fired between the two agitators, as happened in recent derbies.
Before the derby, the procession of football fans from Levski from "Todor Aleksandrov" Blvd. temporarily stopped after "blue" zapalyankovci noticed supporters of the "reds". This led to tension, after some of the fans of Levski turned to those of CSKA. The intervention of the police was necessary, and in the end the uniformed officers prevented a more serious incident.
