At last! Maguchych's high jump world record recognized  - 1

Yaroslava Maguchych's 210cm high jump world record was officially ratified by World Athletics. Thus, Stefka Kostadinova's achievement of 209 cm, which has been sitting at the top for more than 30 years, is now officially #2 in the all-time ranking. The Ukrainian recorded this result at the Diamond League in Paris on July 7, reports sportal.bg.

“Coming to this competition, I had a feeling that I could jump 207 cm, maybe 210 cm. I finally wrote Ukraine in the history of world athletics,”, shared Maguchich.

Three more world records were recognized, set in 2024. They are in the juniors and under-20 girls - Medina Eissa in the girls' 5000m (14:21.89 min.), Jaden Hibbert in the juniors' triple jump (17.66 m) and Yang Jii in the girls' javelin (64.28 m).
