Turkey and Wales ended in a 0-0 draw in Group B/4 of the Nations League tournament. The draw left the Turks at the top of the table with 11 points, two more than second round Wales before the end.
At the Kayseri Stadium, the hosts dominated throughout the match and had over 20 shots on goal for Wales, but never found the net. The climax was a missed penalty for Turkey in the 89th minute when Kerem Akturkoglu hit the post from the penalty spot.
In the other Group B/4 match, Iceland secured at least third place in the group after a 2-0 win away to Montenegro.
Oscarsson and Johannesson scored both goals for the Icelanders in the last quarter of the match.
In Group B/1, Georgia and Ukraine finished 1:1 and left the tie for the last round. The Georgians lead the standings with 7 points, as do the second-placed Czech Republic, who visit Albania later this evening. Ukraine is in the last position with 5 points, while Albania is in third place with 6 points to its credit.
The Ukrainians took the lead with an own goal by Solomon Kverkvelia in the 7th minute, but Georgia got within a point after substitute Georges Mikautadze scored in the 76th minute.
In League C, Azerbaijan team earned their first point in Group 1 after a goalless draw at home to Estonia. Azeris are last in the group with 1 point, while Estonians are third with 4 points.
In Group D/2, Moldova established themselves at the top of the standings after a 1-0 win away to outsiders Andorra. Virgiliu Postolaki scored the only goal in added time of the match.
